Southeast Drift Challenge Atlanta, Ga Sept. 12-13th 2009

If you were at SEDC in March you know not to miss SEDC2 at Atlanta's Turner Field. We are again bringing the 2 day competition format back. But this time around we are stepping it up with payouts to the top drivers. $1,000 is up for grabs. $300 to the Team Tandem winner and $400 for 1st, $200 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd in the singles comp.

Day 1 will consist of open practice and end with the Team Tandem competition. Time to see if Drift Emporium can hold on to the crowns!

Day 2 will consist of a morning practice session immediately followed by qualifying for the afternoon's Top 32 competition. This is the comp you do not want to miss.

Registration is open!

How do you get to ride with drivers ?

First thing first...

SHOW UP TO THE EVENT !

You'll see the booth to pay to get into the event. They will either ask you if your going to just spectate or do ride a longs.

You simply say, ride a longs please! They will take care of you from that point on

Remember, wear closed toed shoes, bring a helmet (no not a kiddy helmet for a 3rd grader) and it might be hot but pants is always a good thing.

Also after you get your bracelet at the front gate the best way is to approach drivers while they are in the pit area changing tires and hanging out and ask them if they'll take you next session. This way when they get ready to go run you already have a ride!

Will it be possible to have an on-track media box this event? My lens isn't good enough to take decent pictures from the side.

no we cant have any media inside the track

yea im gonna have the same problem. i dont know many of the atl guys so i need to find some guys for some team tandem.

I'd tell you to try on 240atlanta to find some co-drivers but I think your best bet will be just to talk to guys in the morning after the drivers meeting. You'll have all day to hone your runs and get tight. I will make sure that during the tandem meeting we ask all potential drivers if they have formed teams and see who is left for potential match ups.
